the car is STOCK, wioth the exception of 3mm Head Gasket and still have one step colder plugs in..............

car was running fine, then I went into VTEC and then it started to act wierd, this is not the first time I went into VTEC with the lowered compression, probably the 3rd or4th max

Also do you guys think I have done damage? I didnt get the car above 4,000rpms but it was running awful and I kept on driving it

I was seriously wondering about this same thing a week or so ago. When I get my motor back it will be 9:1 comp and I will have to put the car back to stock to get it inspected. Hence, Im wondering the same thing Joey is, what kind of effect there is when you engage vtec on lower compression?

I have had the lower compression for around 1,500 miles and the car runs great, just very slow......

This happened out of nowhere

I took off the IACV, did a throrough cleaning and am going to get normal plugs for the car tomorrow morning, do a MAP whack and reset the ECU. If that does not fix it I dont know what the problem is..............

I am not too worried about about the car running lean because with the lower comp it runs richer anyway, but I am worried as to what is causing this..............

Well that is puzzling. Everything that they have said above ^ is this first things that came to my mind. If none of these come close to solving the problem then I am unsure what else to do other than hook up diagnostics to the computer . Keep us posted man

It's not the gasket!
I've had a 2mm in and yes it's a little (very slightly) slower below Vtec, but it pulls hard in vtec still. I am running stock plugs and gapping when N/A with the low compression though. My turbo install is almost complete now though.

you can sleep tonight. I deff wouldnt worry about anything being damaged. It just an electrical or sensor issue. once you scan it let us know what codes you have.

Have you checked to see if the VTEC solenoid screen is clean. Maybe its clogged and not allowing VTEC to engage properly. Probably not the whole issue but maybe one that can be checked to make sure its not part of the culprit.

VTEC solenoid valve stuck? maybe wrong lobes are engaged?

also, that thing in the pic has 2 hoses going to it. One big, one tiny. That tiny supposed to go to intake manifold. Can you see if the original nipple on the manifold had been blocked off?

^ The original nipple is blocked off.

I am going to pull my plugs now to take a look at them.

I also cleaned the hell of out of the IACV, I will put that in and see if hat changed anything.

it is similair to when I had a faulty TPS problem, but different the RPS go from 1,000-4000 back and forth, so annoying
