Default Manual Fan Switch

Ok so after two mugen thermo swtches and lots of coolant i decided to just run a manual toggle switch for the fans. I did this on my SRT$ so im familiar with hookin it up. If i could find a link to a thread that says which wire to tap into and what not. Any help is useful. I also saw something about how the MY06 has two sensors for fan switch opertaion and basically the ecu decides when the fan comes on. True or False? I already have the Mugen Stat so any help is appreciated. Yes i searched

You have a copy of the shop manual? I haven't seen one available yet.

Why don't you re install the stock switch and let the PCM turn the fans on?

I've seen to many people forget about a manual fan switch and overheat an engine for no good reason.

Or you could turn the AC on and both the fans runs.

I agree with Slow. I think this is a foolish mod. If you wired it in parallel so, you could over-ride the ECU then it would be fine. Then if you forget, the ECU will still cover your ass.

Well i tried doin the mugen thermo switch but non of them fit MY06 unless you know of one that fits. Next i would wire it in parallel so the ecu can kick it on when it feels fit but if i wanna kick em on while im waiting at a light or at the track or something.

way easier to turn on the AC when your at the track or at a light.

fan switch waste of time and effort, IMHO.

Typically it's easy to bypass on an older one. You simply put two wires, one on either side of the thermo switch then you can use a switch on these two wires to activate the fans at will. Without seeing a diagram though, that's just guesswork.

Yea but i dont want to kick the ac on at the light then down the road a ways and kick it off. Easier to just flip a switch. Also then i can just leave ignition on and motor off and run the fan.
