Massive Vibration - Need help please
Hey i have a 00' honda s2000. This is my first post so sorry if it's not the best.
So this is the go, about 4 months ago i started feeling huge vibrations at 10mph+ (higher the gear, more shaky it gets) from the front, rear and steering wheel. and ever since i've been taking it in and out of the mechanics.
I have change the cross member, rear diff mounts and diff axles. I also got my wheels balanced. and problem still not solved. (btw car is stock standard, no work done).
I then dropped it off to another mechanic and he said i need to reconditon my diff or change it. It didn't seem right though cause my diff ain't making any noises!
So i took it to another mechanic to get another opinion, he put it on the hoist and got his mate to sit in it and drive it. We stood underneath the car and notice the vibration is coming from the Gearbox.
Now this is were i'm confused, my gearbox feels perfect, gets into gears and never crunches! but the mechanic is saying i need to get a new gearbox or get this one recondition.
Does this sound right?? what should i do.?
