why not fit a small piece of catylitic material into the fouler attachment? I doubt the material would break down really quickly... and if you aren't going to use your old cat... you would have almost an endless supply of material!
I wouldn't try and break down the old cat. Because if you have a recycler near that is will to buy cats off an individual they should give you anywhere from 50-120 bucks for your old cat.

the ecu is not looking for chemical properities - it's simply doing a temp check between the primary and secondary 02. all required is to similate the right temp delta.

Hey guys I own an 03 s2k and recently did edge headers, invidia test pipe, invidia cat back exhaust. I expected a CEL might turn on and it did.

Im getting check engine light code p 132 that primary o2 sensor high volt.

I did the bung fix in the test pipe with the two foulers one drilled one non drilled and screwed in.

I also have an aftermarket air/fuel gauge from glowshift installed into my console and ran into the #16 slot on connector C on the ecu. Could this be causing a problem?

or..

Any ideas why the CEL is on? I belive the primary sensor is the one on the headers?

Let me know I would greatly appreciate the steps i should take to.

It's an oxygen sensor not a temp sensor.

It is definitely an O2 sensor, which I'm guessing, is looking for a very lean A/F, considering the purpose of the catalytic converter. Using an extension to remove the O2 sensor as far away from the flow of exhaust seems to not work for the 06+, so something different mechanically might need to be thought up. Or people start buying an electrical fix...

Anyone any ideas on my p132 code with the CEL FIX on the secondary sensor...on my03? Any clues on whats causing the 1st sensor to bug out?

Maybe its bad? This thread really has nothing to do with the first sensor. And your first sensor actually controls your air-fuel ratios when running in closed-loop...or basically anytime you are not in cold start or WOT. So if you are getting a code about your primary, I'd check it out and try to fix it. That one actually matters.

Thanks silver.

I actually fixed it when I double checked everything.

I ran the connection from the a/f wire to the sensor1 on ecu and saw that it did not properly connect to ecu, it only connected to the wire coming from the harness, thus throwing the check engine light and giving me the air fuel readings on the gauge while never delivering it to the ecu.

All is well now. Thanks for the input.
