Default Megan Racing Catch CAN install questions

Ok I snagged a megan racing catch can pretty cheap here it is

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Issue is I read the DIY on the cusco catch can and it seems that only has 2 ports on the can. This one has 3. I know one line comes off of the valve cover routes to the can then back to the pcv valve. What do I do with the other port on the can??

I assume it is a drain.

two to the valve cover and one to your intake manifold

I disagree. Look how low that third port in on the can. Looks like a drain.

If it is a drain. How come cusco doesn't have something similar? Anyone running this can or something like it

Look closely. this is mikeys2k engine he lists a megan catch can. he has on of the top ports going to the front outlet on valve cover. and a lower port going to the throttle body.

No he does not. He has one top port connected to the breather on the valve cover. You can clearly see that the PCV valve is still connected to the valve cover and the intake manifold. You can clearly see there is a blue hose connected to the intake manifold, but you can not see exactly what is is connected to.

What you see zip-tied to the blue hose connected to the front of the valve cover and catch can, is the blow-off valve vac line.

Catch cans "catch" oil. If you don't drain them, they fill up. If you connect the bottom port to anything, what can a can with a hole in the top and bottom really catch?

No arguement there, I'll contact them monday. It's just I figured someone on here had one and has to know how to hook it up. I imagine I could hook one top port to the valve cover, one to the pvc valve and cap off the bottom one. I'll contact megan and keep everyone updated.

That picture is incorrect in displaying how a catch can should be plumbed.

The correct way is one port on the catch can goes to the PCV and then the second port of the catch can goes to the intake manifold. That's it! The front breather should remain stock. In order to "catch" blow by you need vaccum.

If that doesn't make sense, just think of it this way, look at the stock PCV setup, now you're catch can needs to be between it. That way it will catch oil.
