oooooooooook. Severe gear SAE 75W-90. Synthetic extreme pressure lubricant. SVG-QT. Ask a straight forward question, get a straight forward answer.

Amsoil or not, it is still a multigrade 90 weight.
And that is too thin aka not thick / strong enough IMHO.

Fair enough, but the diff is spotless inside minus the two snapped ears. I really don't believe mine snapped because of the oil. Mi pinion bearings are noisy, but I overtorqued them whn I swapped the flange.

Do we have a pic of where the ears actually come off of? Mine's only done 48k and lost 3 ears and it's whining; I thought Honda's were built to last lol! Well I guess the whine could be the gearbox bearing not sure yet.

So is there a general consensus on what diff and gearbox oil is best on a car with millage ?????

Hey all, five years on, and probably 60k miles, diff is still fine, even after tons of launches and track days.
