Default Missing OBD2 Port

This is NOT a OBD2 location thread

I have a 99 AP1 s2000 and found that the OBD2 port should be on passenger side just behind the triangle interior trim and above the net.

However, on mine, it appears to be missing. I can see the 2 screw holes where it should be mounted to i believe.

How would I go about tracing where it should be? Are the OBD2 ports supposed to be connected directly to the ECU so can I follow a wire from the ECU to find it?

It’s should be there. That trim panel looks off. Did it get tucked behind the panel?

This is an Australian or JDM car?
Pretty sure the early ones didn't have the port, might want to check the aussie section for more experience.

If it’s not a us spec car, it won’t have one. It should have a 3 pin data connector.

I have same on my ap1 back home in NZ.. You need to buy "hondash" bluetooth adapter, works with phone app.
Alternatively 3pin honda scan tool on ebay.
The 3pin plug is under the steering wheel, and works same as obd2
