Default Missing spark plug cover

This may be a no-brainer question, and I'm not even sure I posted in the right place. I searched already and could find no answer.

I recently bought an S2K (it's bootiful), and the previous owner had broken/lost the spark plug cover. Would there be any problems if I just ran without it?

It seems like it should be fine, but, then again, Honda did put it there for a reason.. right?

If I do need to get a replacement, could S2Ki recommend me some cheap aftermarket ones that will fit well? Thanks!

I personally think It should be fine. But thats only because I have seen several people running with out them. Not to sure about long term.

Worst case you can just buy one. I have seen several aftermarket brands that have them for about 100.00

I haven't had a spark plug cover in 3 years. They just get in the way of quick and easy spark plug changes/checks. Its a cosmetic thing not I don't believe they have much if any function. Maybe a little dust but keep it clean and your good.

No problem running the engine without the spark plug cover.

Yup, it really serves no functional purpose.

I cannot use the sparkplug cover due to the extra size of my coilpacks (Okada).

Additionally there are plenty of cars that do no't use coilpack covers at all

For example an Audi TTRS
