Default missing trans bolt?

Hey guys,

Was changing my diff fluid and noticed what looks to be a missing bolt (near the center of the pic). Can anyone confirm if there's supposed to be a bolt in there?

Thanks!

yes there is supposed to be one there if theres no trans fluid leaking around that seal i would put a properly sized bolt on it and not worry about it. but if it is leaking you may need to take it apart and reseal it with honda bond and follow the tightening sequence as per the service manual. otherwise its going to leak until it destroys itself

Honda bond? I think you just need a bolt but I can't tell from the picture where exactly/ what that is?

Judging by the excess hondabond there now. I'd say the trans was apart at 1 time

Yes definitely. The rear of the tranny had some hondabond as well.

I haven't noticed any leaks and it feels great for the time I've owned it (4 years)

Thanks for the replies, I'll have to order the bolt and pop in it
