Motor mounts and engine torque damper?
Hi I have an 03 with 54000 miles driven nicely it's whole life, some spirited driving here and there of course. I have no real reason to think my mounts are bad, the only symptom I have which I would think is totally normal is when I'm sitting at 0mph and hard reving the engine the car rocks side to side subtly. I was thinking of getting a torque damper which just seems like it would keep the motor more planted in the chassis and there's quite a few positive reviews on them for s2000's. So I guess I'm asking if it's worth the time and money to get new motor mounts first?
One true and tested way to see if your motor mounts are bad is to inspect them for brown stains. This would indicate that the mounts have cracked and the fluid inside them has been leaking. This is free and just requires that you jack up your car
