That is ok, but the engine is not going to be daily driven in the mid range but ALL the time at full throttle as it is a rally car so it will be much warmer than it is meant to be in a road car. The oil gets thinner as it is warmer so it should not affect the performance. I will for sure make a dyno run on that oil just to check if i loose something. If i do then i will change it to 5w40.

Yes it is. You can use it with no problems. As for the transmission i have not yet used such oil but heard that it is good. I will probably today purchase tranny oil and put it there to check if the shifting is any better.

If you are going to spend money on higher end oil, use only Amsoil. If you are buying off the shelf, use Mobil 1.

The good thing about Motul and probably also Amsoil is that it is made only in one factory which makes the quality check a lot better than if it is made in few countries. It may not be a problem in the US as probably all of them are made in states but in Europe it may become a problem if you get the oil from Romania or some other country like this. I kno for sure that for example Castrol 10w60 racing has different colour when you take a can from Germany and the same in Poland. This might lead to thoughts about different additives used in it. I am not saying which is better but it is just curious that it is different and it is supposed to be the same....

i honestly see no noticeable benefits for going with Motul. Great oil, but not worth the price over OTC oils such as M1 and Amsoil.

Czesc,

I agree, Motul oils are proven 'quality' oils. They have a long history in aeronautic and automotive applications. I use Motul (15W50) in my S2000 and knowing their proven track record I too trust this oil in my engine.

Walezy - Let me know how you go with the tranny oil. I was planning to buy Motul and also replace.

I have access to pretty much every oil Motul makes at work, I'm about to do my 30K service, but don't know what oil to get for the tranny and diff, any ideas? I'm probably going to do the 300V 5W30 or 10W 30 for my engine.
