Default Motul vs Redline vs LE

So I read that very long yet very informative thread by RR on LE 607 - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=185775&st=0

I've been using Mobil 1 75W90 in my differential since 5,000 miles, changing it every 10,000 miles. Its time for another change, and although Mobil 1 has worked well for me, its time to look at other alternatives.

How does Motul Gear 300 and Redline 75W90 compare to LE 607?

Here are some additional technical specs I found on Motul and Redline...

- Motul - http://www.motorspot.com/itm_img/Gea..._3178_(GB).pdf

- Redline - http://www.redlineoil.com/pdf/5.pdf

Seems Redline is better?

They are all quality lubes and I would guess that there would be negligable difference in wear when using any one of them with regular changes.

Of course the lubricant has little to do with most diff failures in S2000's... the parts (at least in the early years) are just not up to the task and flex and fail under load sometimes.

Why? If it has worked well (and it definitely does) then why change?

In my services, I have used all of the fluids you have listed and they ALL do well. Regular fluid service intervals are more important than which of these you choose. You seem to change it out often enough so (IMHO) I wouldn't sweat it.

The nice thing about M1 is that you can pick it up off the shelf at just about any auto parts store. The others need to be ordered online or at a performance shop, and typically cost more (after shipping esp.)

All hail M1!!!!

From everything I've read, I'll be sticking with the LE607 in my diff. I have been a huge fan of Redline lubes in the past, but am very satisfied with 607 in the diff and Honda MTF in the tranny.
