Anyone know why same Mugen AP2 cat-back exhaust (looks exactly same), but how come some with single hanger and the other with dual hanger?

another Q about the mugen exhaust:
i've seen a few complaints on here about the mugen droning a bit at certain RPM's. anyone else who has this exhaust notice the same?
i just recieved mine today, and as i was looking at it i noticed it does not have the hemzholder (sp?) pipe like the stock system. i don't quite remember if that particular piece will stay when i swap the oem for the mugen or not...but could that be the issue behind any droning?

All exhausts drone, the volume of drone and at what RPM is a function of design. I'm guessing with the OEM exhaust it occurs at a very low RPM due to the resonator and the long overall exhaust system length (it's a "twin loop" design after all).
Without the Helmholtz resonator, even the Mugen drones though it's probably dampened pretty well by the small piping inside the mufflers relative to the muffler volume. What makes it annoying in many straight through aftermarket exhausts is that the shorter overall length moves it up to the 3-4K RPM range and the lack of dampening with small volume mufflers.

Is the single / dual hanger the only difference between these exhausts?
