Default Mugen bumper/intake in the rain?Hood too

Thinking of buying the Mugen bumper/intake combo along with the vented hood.To the owners who already have this set up what do you guys do when it rains?I guess you can tape up the hood vents but what about the intake? If you tape it there's no other place for the engine to suck in air right?

I have this setup. I also lived in Hawaii where it rains a lot more than California. With that being said, since I have been in California there has been no need to even worry about the rain. It doesnt rain hard enough to warrant worrying about it. I drive with the hood vents open. The aerodynamics of air/rain forces the rain to not actually get in the engine bay (unless your car is parked). Plus you have rain gutters with the Mugen hood and they are optional for the Js Type V. Now if you live in Tenn. or somewhere where it rains a lot more than Hawaii or California than dont drive the car. Problem solved.

Its going to cost you near $8,000 for those 3 items if your not aware of it... If you go with "style" parts it will cost you under $2000.

Good luck.

I live in Texas where we get thunderstorms, torrential downpours, and the occasional tropical storm/hurricaine. My Mugen hood has rain gutters. Engine stays dry parked or running. No problem with the SS bumper thus far. Just stay out of high water and you'll be fine.
