Howdy all,

Did a search in the archives and didn't find the answers I was looking for. If you have a Mugen ECU, or have knowledge of, please share:

- What processor does the Mugen use?
- Does the Mugen ignore/not use:
- EGR
- Secondary O2
- Air pump
- How much does the Mugen "ignore" the knock sensor, and how does it handle when knock is sensed?
- What specifically (or generally) is the Mugen tuned for? The JDM spec motor, Mugen bolt-ons, 100 Octane gas, etc.?
- If you've used the Mugen and experienced detonation, please share your experience/circumstances.

Scott has replied to some of my questions, privately, and hasn't responded yet to my latest email (which was more detailed). I'm trying to get info from people that have used it, also, not necessarily those with a vested interest

I'd also like to make any discussion public, since when I looked for this info I couldn't find it.

 

The only expierence with the mugen ECU is with my friends S and when we installed it the engine made a whole lot of clater (detonation, spark knock, etc.), don't know if it required better fuel or what, but as soon as we installed the stock ECU back in it has run fine ever since. I've also heard that other people have had the same problem as well.
