Mugen exhast help!

I got a mugen from a friend, who had the dealer take the exhaust off for him. They separated the canisters for some reason. My questions is, is there supposed to be a gasket there?

yeah its a little metal ring that usually gets stuck in one side. Its not like the regular flat gaskets you normally associate with exhausts.

shoot. i didnt look to see fit there was a ring 'stuck' oh well.
