My car has a Mugen CAI, Manifold and Exhaust. Not cooling mods as yet and a stock ECU
The Performance was dissapointing I can only assume this was due to it being a very hot day (for the UK). What has interested me though is the Lamda results, they seem all over the place and it runs richer around 2800 and 8000 revs.
The plans are to replace the stock ECU with a Mugen one including the cooling mods, hopefully this ECU will be map with the correct A/F mixture for the setup. Although I have some reservations about this ECU being run on a road car and the long term damage it may cause to the engine.
Excuse any holes in my thread but I am on a steep learning curve on this and my knowledge is limited. Can anyone relieve my concerns about the stock ECU getting confused with the current Mugen kit.
Various dynos will report substantially different results so just looking at the number means little. What are the numbers from other cars on this dyno? Did you baseline on this same dyno?
Many use the Mugen ECU with no problem as long as proper fuel is used.
I do not think there is any issue with the stock ECU and the mods you have.
this is the reality of the S2, there is not much to gain NA without major work and an AEM imo. people spend thousands and thousands to gain 10-30 hp n/a when you can spend less and gain much much more. guess which side of the fence I stand on when it comes to n/a and F/i questions........
