anyone got a set in cali that will let me test fit the front?
18" OZ superleggeza would fit with No spacer.

fit perfect with yours Brembo brakes and NO spacer

Here you have a thread that I started few months ago, would help you

Back on topic, you'll need relatively thick spacers even if you run the EP3 spec MF-10s, which come in 1770 +38.

You'll be better off with 1775 +43 CE28Ns and 3mm spacers. You'll save some money and have lighter wheels.
Charles

You would need more than 3 mm if you use the CE28N, THe design of the CE28N do not leave enough space for big brakes. On the other side TE37 have a lot of room for big Brakes

I would said close to 10 mm if you planing go with the 17" CE28N

if you're running stock rotors, you will still need spacers.

i'm running 18mm spacers (a 15mm and a 3mm) with spoon calipers over stock rotors and stock '04 rims.

ideally, you only need 16mm with the stock '04 wheels, but they don't make a 16mm spacer, or a 1mm spacer.

to offset the front increase in track width, i added 5mm spacers in the rear just because (you don't have to though).

if i had a bigger diamater rotor (i.e. non-stock), i could easily lose the extra 3mm spacer due to the design of the spokes curving outwards as you approach the lip - hell, i could probably go to a 10mm spacer.

Thumbs up

Hang on, this thread is getting confusing with conflicting statements everywhere. The MF10s in factory offset are - 17x7.5 +52mm 114.3.

JL9000 - Spacers are required but did not specific size if running EP3 specs - 17x7.0 +38mm. This is a +15mm difference if compared with the above measurements. Which would mean the above offset is acceptable.

AJ PwR - 15mm spacer is a must for Mugen MF10s 17x7.5 5:114.3 +52 This will increase the offset to +67mm, isn't +52mm enough?

JsAP1 - SSR Type Cs at a +40 front and should clear fine with no spacer. Mugen MF10s will need 10+mm spacer. Remember try to stay in the low to mid 40s if you can. I would not go below a +40 front. There is an SSR wheel coming out with the following specs - 17x7 +50 They will allow fitment of any BBK. +40 is fine but +52 needs another +10? Aren't spacers increasing the MM not decreasing? Then there is the SSR with a +50 that'll clear fine? This is a tough one without adding different makes/models.

PLYRS 3 - Running 18mm spacers (a 15mm and a 3mm) with spoon calipers over stock rotors and stock '04 rims. What is the OEM offset on the 04s? Again, another wheel not on the initial question.

So everyone seems to have a guess on what is it and which wheel is ideal. What is the minimal offset on a 17 inch wheel regardless of make/model that can clear the Spoon calipers? See how confusing this it?

You are forgetting one important point, that not all 17" wheels are designed the same. The answer is it will depend on the spoke design of the particular wheel you are looking to get.

actually +15 spacer added to a +52 offset rim changes the offset to +37. the higher the offset, the further in the rim goes. the lower the number the more the wheel sticks out.

like s2x says, it depends on the spoke design. some rims are high-pad clearance meaning the spokes are designed to clear big calipers (like a high-pad te37..the spokes are actually curved instead of the traditional flat spokes).

thanks guys for all the feedbacks...really apreciate it.....i looking into a couple wheels...but most of the wheels require me to run spacers...my main goal was to get something that would clear spoon's without spacers....and keep a decent fender ...i kno my best bet would be the WEDS SA90 (S2X) or the OZs (S2k Europe) or Work Meisters (18)...juss too bad the OZs were not on my list...while the WEDS were but did not offer a staggard set up.....and Meisters are 18s...now basically down to a couple questions...

JL-does ure wheels rub the fenders by any bit? running on 215s?

S2X-also if anyone know if Work Emotions would clear running on a 40-42 Offset with what size tires will i be fine? i think S2X has em on his car....wondering if u have any fender rubbin issues?

my car is pretty slammed like JLs car.....again thanks guys for the info!
