From one of inline's least favorite people I wish you good luck! I think 13:1 is a little excessive, on pump you will get to much knock with any kind of aggressive timing in the EMS. I hope you guys use the EMS, since you had some good success in john's car. How did you calculate the dome CC to give you a 13:1 compression ratio if you don

Awesome thread. I have pics of my build up, but never did anything with them.

My car has almost 5k miles on it, daily driven, beat on, and driven in 100 degree Vegas weather. And it still runs great and smoother than my stock motor did.

Good luck with the build!!

Very good (and smart) to see this thread. The Inline 2.5L has got a really bad reputation around here and it will be nice to see the whole process and monitor it's performance and reliability over the next few months.

I also like your warranty offer but it does limit you somewhat on who you can sell to.

This is interesting...and I am really happy to see you guys are making a thread about your 2.5L. Everybody else has been pretty P.C. so far but I'm going to go ahead and say that, yes, the reputation of the current 2.5L kit is pretty poor.

However, this is exciting and with good results, reliablity, and marketing (as this is) this kit can become a big fore-player in the N/A world. I wish you guys best of luck in the setup and will be following the thread.

Eric.

P.S. To somebody above, yes, the distance between cylinders looks really small.

I'd love to hear why you guys remove them
We remove them because there is a clearance issue with the crankshaft and the piston.

If you have ever seen any motor that has broken an oil squirter and the damage it does, then you would understand why it is more beneficial to take them out then to leave them in.

And it is 100% safe for daily driven purposes.

i have a question. isnt the S block bored with a dummy head? will sleeving reduce distortion becasue of the thicker sleeve material?
beautiful pieces you have! also very excited about the pics on the build!!
Ductile iron is everyone resleeves Honda motors with, it is a stronger material therefore distortion is not an issue.
