Today it was really hot, maybe 98-100' and I ran the A/C all day. I was exiting onto the highway when I noticed white smoke pouring out of my vents. My heart skipped a beat and I thought my car had to be on fire but then I noticed that it dissipated and went away. I put my hand over the vent and I felt moist air. It went away after about 5 seconds and left the smell of steam in my car. What happened? Should I be concerned?
i think your okay for now...
not to long ago, my a/c went out.. i was at a stop light and my car was idling reaaallly bad. my car shut off and it was very hard to keep it running after i started it back up. i pulled over and noticed smoke coming from everywhere, i thought someone was having a BBQ ( i was happy) then i saw smoke coming out of my car and it ran like crap when i turn the a/c button on. took it to honda and they changed out everything...
so as long as ur car is still running smoothly... your cool!

I took a commercial flight to New Orleans once, and white "smoke" started pouring out of the vents running along the top of the cabin. Quite a few of the passengers were startled at this. That's what happens when hot, humid air is combined with cold air, the water vapor condenses out.

it's moisture trapped in vent coming out liquidified. it's like fog. don't worry. it means your A/C working too well.
