Default My car is 'kangerooing'

Hi guys/girls wonder if anyone can help me

when i drive in 1st gear my car judders similar to when a learner driver tries to drive for the 1st time and you get the clutch and accelerator going at the wrong time. Im an experienced driver and hold more than just a car license for 13 years so it's not my driving. It seems to do it more often when the engine is cold but every once in a while it does it with a warm engine. Any ideas what's wrong people ??

first gear is really short, i only use it if am going to go from 1st to 2nd, not just driving around in 1st unless driving into a driveway or something.

I had this same problem so I adjusted my throttle cable and it hasn't done it since. Your throttle cable might be too loose.

Might be a vacuum leak or the TPS.

I had this happened on a used MY2000 s2000 that I test drove recently , it was terrible, so I know what you are talking about. I ended up buying a different used MY2002 s2000 with roughly the same miles and it is perfectly smooth in comparison.

I would suggest a number of little changes as it can be many different things. New spark plugs if yours have a few miles on them (mine were totally worn out at 50,000 miles. Replace the pcv valve if it is more than a couple years old. Do the Map whack or cleaning, I tried cleaning mine. Clean the throttlebody. Adjust the throttle cable, and run some high quality fuel injector cleaner through the car. Follow up with an ecu reset.

never happened with the 4.10 but happens with the 4.77s, only happens when i pussyfoot off a stoplight/stopsign with a weak part throttle, never happens when tearing off a line wide open throttle...

My cable was loose. I tightened it and no jumpy car either.
