Is my clutch fried?

You've got a good point. Sure, you can burn out a clutch from bad driving. Absolutely. In fact, if you ride the clutch in VTEC rather than dump it, you'll destroy it rather quickly.

I guess the point here is whether a clutch is a "normal wear" item that should be expected to fail within the 3/30 terms of the warranty. IMO, no. And, if it happened to me, I'd be enraged if Honda rejected a warranty claim on those grounds.
But, definitely a good point. As always, you have to choose your battles. I don't know how you guys drive.
Good luck!
You have "glazed" the clutch disc friction surface. (Bet you could smell it) Drive it moderately for a while, see it improves. How much "freecplay" at the clutch pedal ? It's self adjusting, to a certain point, then adios clutch. If it was my car I would pull the clutch, deglaze all surfaces, and if disc at all questionable, replace. I've done it hundreds of times and often just the disc is enough, but you must deglaze the flywheel surface and pressure plate, while looking very closely for heat fractures. gl.Thread
