My crashed S2000 - how about the frame?
Hi there,
unfortunately I crashed my lovely S2000 today.
I took off both fenders, the hood, the bumper and the headlights.
Here are pics (which I took after removing the right hand side fender which had the most impact):

I know that it is nearly impossible to tell from pictures if it is possible to rebuild the car to 100% operating condition like it was before,
but maybe someone knows about a similar case and has advice for me.
Kind regards,
mozo

Hello ! and wow. Quite a first post for s2ki.
As far as I can tell, it looks like the impact most likely hit the frame. The question is: Is it worth rebuilding considering the price of everything?
I can't tell in the picture, but the area that concerns me is the upper frame rail above the FR suspension components. If it looks proportional to the left side, you might have less to deal with.
EDIT : Yes you do have frame damage. I looked a bit closer, and it's rather bad on the side that took the impact.

Hi there,
thanks for your replies.
As I cannot be seperated from my S2000 (it was and is my dream car) I am going to rebuild the car - for street and track use.
I wanted to (re)build the car for track use anyway but that was planned to happen two years from now.
The beauty in distress:

Here you can see that the front right wishbone arm has to be welded to the chassis again:

Stay tuned.
Kind regards,
mozo
