Default My engine rumbles like a V8

Last couple days, my engines boggles while i idle and also boggles a little wen i ease through first gear. This morning, i warm up the car and it shakes like a mofo, making all these differnt noises. My check engine lights was on and FLASHING...!!!!!! I tried driving it, but it felt like only half the power was there! 1st gear litterally felt like 2nd gear at that speed. I think it's my sparkplug or something got to do with it. Anyone know's what might be the problem? and is it safe for me to drive it to my bodyshop, which is like 20 miles away! What should i DO, plz help!

flashing CEL means serious engine damage can or is occurring. have the car towed to the honda dealer, something is seriously wrong. if you have access to an obd-2 code scanner, turn the ignition to on (but not start!) and let us know what the code is. I can look it up in the service manual then and give you an idea of what is wrong. but DO NOT START THE ENGINE. get it towed to the dealer.

You would do well to read your owner's manual. A FLASHING CEL is something that requires immediate attention and you SHOULD NOT drive the car. In fact, if this were to happen on the road, you are shut the car OFF and have the thing towed to the shop. Driving with a flashing CEL is NOT a wise thing to do.

Hope when you get the car towed and looked at it turns out to be not as bad as the situation suggests. Wish you the best of luck, try and keep us updated if possible.

From what i described, anyone have any idea what's going on though? Thanks for the help guys, I was seriously going to drive it to the body shop but i decided to seek advice from s2ki first.

Thanks, i'll keep you guys updated. Will have my uncle come look at it and see what he can do frist. I think it's better for me to have car scanned first with the obd-2 and tell you guys the problem before bringing it to honda, (which never gave me good service in the pass).

it could be a variety of things...could be simple as one of the fuel injectors going out....

oh and you do know the S needs to be towed on a flat bed right?
