I have a horrid noise coming from either the gearbox, driveshaft or one of engine mounts/tranny mount, it hasn't always been there so it's not normal, I've replaced the diff and diff bushes, done the axle nut tsb, checked to see if anything was loose and can't pin point what's doing it, I'm basically at the point of selling it as much as I love the thing, PLEASE HELP!?

 

It's a solid clunk during gear changes or if you dab the throttle on and off while in gear and it's rather loud :S

 

Have you changed the fluid in the tranny?

 

Yeah it was pretty clean and no chunks or anything?

 

Did you drop the oil filler cap behind the motor?

 

Nope, it's on there nice and tight

 

Check your motor mounts.
If the noise comes when the motor is shifting (throttle on/off or shifting), that is likely a motor mount

 

Fixed it, motor mount had nearly torn off, bought Megan racing mounts, so much more power put down, little vibratey but nothing too bad
