Is my mechanic wrong?
I just had my clutch master cylinder & clutch slave cylinder replaced since I was leaking clutch fluid which was causing my clutch pedal to be loose and not fully engaging. My mechanic, who works on Japanese cars only, said that my clutch is in perfect condition, and that just my cylinders had to be replaced. Now when I try to launch and drop the clutch at around 6-6.5K, my tires wont spin as much as they should. Mostly a bog. This happened before I even brought my car to him to replace my cylinders. Couldn't my mechanic tell if my clutch was also slipping, even by looking at it? He test drove it, but obviously he didnt do any launches.

Go easy on your clutch homie, or else the next thing your mechanic will be doing is remove the transmission to replace all the clutch components.

Maybe he replaced your MY00 slave with a new model WITH the Clutch Delay Valve?
Ask your mechanic about that.
If so.. ask him to remove it (the CDV I mean)
