Is there anything positive to be said for letting it pop up to help vent crankcase pressure?

great mod! It looks great. I've seen something similar on the spoon racecars FWIW, but I've never experienced my dipstick popping up from out of THE VALVE COVER ahah.

different. krankvents here and it stoppping popping up for the most part. some of it has to do with the vibration, but some of it has to do with the shitty pcv valve.

nevertheless, pretty ingenius.

I forget what I was reading where I saw this same thing done to a K-series motor. It was on a real deal time attack car, so I'd say you're good to go!

If you buy a bag of those springs from Japan, you can sell that setup for $100 if you call it JDM, yo!

Ordered, I'll have them up for sale in a few weeks, probably do an introductory price start at $75 to drum up business...

Just flip the dipstick around like CKit mentioned. Works great.

To be honest I think flipping the dipstick around looks kinda "out of place." I was working on something... I think I was JB welding one of the hangers back on my pretty much new Invidia (go figure) and I opend one of my tool box drawers and I saw this random design like picture flash in my head with what to do with this spring and my dipstick. I ran with it. I may revise it a little bit to make it look a little better, but... function over form I guess.

And yeah, I should sell these mad tight JDM dipstick springs!!! I'm starting a group buy. Shipping will take 3 years.

LOL
