Will it affect performance or mess anything up if my strutbar is pushing/touching the rubber hosing of the OEM CAI down a bit. The rubber hosing I'm talking about is part of the OEM CAI right?

The pictures below show my strutbar touching the hosing? Please correct me it that is not called hosing.

I have a MG Racing Carbon Fiber Strutbar. Will being so close to the engine melt it at all? What do you guys think of this strut bar. It looks alright. I wish it sat an inch higher.

I don't think you'll feel any significant change in performance due to that "dent". However, since your engine moves and the strut bar doesn't, I would be concerned about the constant rubbing. It might rub through in time.
The CF should be able to take the heat. Some CF hoods come very close to hot engine parts and are fine. You might smell it "curing" for a while.

i think he ment the hose, i don't think the hose could rub a hole into the strut bar.

Yes, that's what I meant. I've been surprised by small mods on my car and other S2Ks where the rubbing produced quite a bit of wear over time.

I have just aquired one of these (exactly the same! may even be the same one looking at the marks!)

So a question anybody got any details on torque setting for the strut bolts? Any ideas on how to adjust the stiffening bolts on the brace itself?

Tried a search - no luck!

Any body got a web site or contact details for MG Racing?
