MY00 Clutch Issue
i drive a MY00 and lately have been having some clutch problems. it only happens once in a while at no particular time. when starting off in 1st i will get resistance and some squeaking when letting the clutch out as i get on the gas. like i said, this only happens once in a while. any ideas? thanks
There are several possibilities.
-squeaky master cylinder
-squeaky slave cylinder
-squeaky release fork
-squeaky throw out bearing.
-worn out clutch disc
Have you ever changed the fluid? You can grease the release fork. You might be able to eliminate the master cylinder by listening under the hood while someone pushes on the clutch. Same goes for the slave cylinder if you can jack up the car. The other stuff, you'd have to do a clutch job.
