Default MY04 keep stalling itself...

MY friend has MY04 USA spec w/ 30k miles.

Recently his car started to stall itself at the stoplight.
ECU wont hold up the idle. The car idles very low and it keeps stalling.
Also sometimes it runs very jerky at lower rpm. 2-4k rpm.

Dealer replaced MAP sensor but problem still exist.
What could be next?? spark plugs? or maybe Oxygen sensor?

TIA

Idle Air Control, vacuum leak, bad gas, clogged injectors, dirty air filter, bad fuel pump, bad fuel pressure reg, lazy ECU. Or it could be just a severe case of heat soak.

I'd recommend that he continue sending it to the dealership under warrantee before you start monkey.

You should not be looking into those things I posted up on your own. These are only to give you some idea of what it "might" be, since you asked. If you start fiddling with anything, the warranty will not cover.

I have the same problem with my04. My dealer replaced the map sensor, but it still stalls occasionally as I try to come to a stop...rpm drops and comes back up. I only have 3000 miles on my car...my dealer can't figure out what's wrong with the car.

If it doesn't actually die, leave it for a few episodes without "helping" it (ie, keep your foot off the gas, don't try to save it). It might just learn on its own. If it dies or if it never learns, then you have a problem. It may just be that the ECU is "slow" or it's having a brain fart. Mine does this every summer. It always learns after a few near death experiences. If you try to help it or try to fix it in some way, it may never learn.
