Default MY04 & Vortech SC

I'd like to first say I'm an idiot (or at least I think I am).

Would a Vortech SC in theory be able to be bolted on to an F22CI even though it was designed for the 2.0L? From my primative knowledge, stroking wouldn't actually change the dimensions of the motor, or the key mounting locations. Or would it?

If that's the case, in your guys' expert opinions, would this mod work with an '04 or do you think Vortech will redesign the kit of the '04?

From photos of the F22C it looks like it has the same exterior fittings. But unless somone tries it we won't know.

More important though is tuning. I hear the F22C is higher compression. This means you would achieve detonation at a lower point than with the F20C. Might need some changes to the black box before Vortech endorse it.

The black box dials out almost 20 degrees of advance. Call Vortech and see if they are game for their warrantee. I say go for it.
