Have you called Split Second? They helped me out when I called them.

 

I have the SW, but I don't know if it's the most actual version. I haven't changed anything on it, not even installed it

How do you connect to the vortech black box, by RS232?

The software should have a tutorial/help section. You hook up the serial cable to the controller, and go from there. The demo software is still functional enough to edit the maps.
