Well I took the plunge and finally got it in.

Had to get the pipe flanged more to fit correctly. I needed to get 3 new rear bolts(2 old ones were interestingly lock bolts not nut and bolt setups) Then the front needed longer bolts to fit the springs in.(2 trips to the store for a swap for even LONGER bolts) FYI: Depending on the shop they might not install your pipe for you.($50,000 fine and loss of licence)

CEL never came on during the day...........installed Caspers unit and only time will tell.

Just installed a high flow cat or your stock one and that will do the trick.

Just curious, has anyone dynoed a N/A car with and without the test pipe. Many people have been saying that the stock CC is pretty high flowing. Anyone?

speeeding has done an N/A car with and without the testpipe on the spoon N1 Exhaust system. It actually lost power.

Dubai,

Glad to help. Hope it works out (enshallah). Removing the cat can't lose power. How much it'll gain depends upon what exhaust you're running. In any case, good luck.

Best,
CB

How did it "lose" power???? That just doesn't make sense. Sure it might not gain any power, but lose power??? Certainly a test pipe is more air flow efficient than a CC. I just doesn't seem possible for the engine to lose power, unless the ECU figured out the ruse and changed something. In any case I will believe that when I see it with my own two eyes.
