Default Need advise on SC kit

I plan to get the comptech supercharger kit for my s2000, but need to know from the people that already got it if they ran into any problems with the install itself? Have you had any problems after the install to this date? If you brought you car back to Honda for warranty service did they say anything about the sc kit and it voiding your warranty? thanks

One thing for sure, no more warranty.

Unless you know the S2000 inside out (Engine) and be able to work on it when there is a problem, I don't think anyone should get the SC. Just my opinion.

Warranty is gone for the driveline... but you have everything else. Go to a dealership in the Sunnyvale area and they will treat you right.

I have not installed a SC myself, but I can tell you from the people that have the big "doozies" of the SC install are trying to get the crank pulley off and trying to get to the fuel pump inside the gas tank. Last I heard Modacar was doing installs for $450... not too shabby for a solid days worth of work. Hell if you have Diablo Autosports do the install they even dyno the car (last time I checked)!

RWD_RCKT has the two pain points correct. The crank pulley and the fuel pump. The fuel pump is a nightmare to do, other than that the rest of the kit is an average difficulty bolt-on. Budget 10-12hrs of your time if you are going to do this by yourself.

If you purchase one of the new kits, you shouldn't run into any real problems. Kiss the warantee on your driveline good-bye though.

and your emissions warranty. I had my SC installed by Modacar in Pleasanton. They did a good job.

For those of you guys who had the install done for you by a shop....

How much did you guys pay? I'm currently looking to get mine installed.. just wanted an average of how much people paid. Just so I know that I'm getting a fair price....

Hennyessey - who did you buy yours from? I'm looking at getting one and want the best price.

Thanks.
