Do you know someone with this tool?

It's a special HOnda tool that cracks open the ball joints without hurting the boot.

If you know where I can burrow one, I would make it worth your while.

Why don't you try vibrating (lightly) the knuckle with a hammer or impact wrench/air gun? It should just fall right out.

Dont know if this will help you at all but I use a gear puller to pull the joints out without hurting the boot.
6-15 bucks at Sears. The arms are ajustable

I'll try to describe it the best I can. The tool is in Omaha where I go to school and I am in California right now.
Its a craftsman and the two arm are ajustable in two areas.
They ajust with a screw and bolt that you tighten to lock the arms in place.
The arms lock in right under the boot without touching the boot.
Go to sears and ask for gear pullers.
Mine is around the size of my palm.
(Found it after trying to describe it)toolsource.com has a picture. # 55517. Just type this # and it will take you to it.
My price was a litte off but it still is cheap.

Yeah, but I don't know if it'll work because there isn't that much room between the ball joint and the a-arm.

If it makes you feel any better I used it on my s2000.
I originally pruchased it for my spyder to take off the upper a-arm.
I also used it on my prelude to remove the rear suspension.
Hope you find a solution soon.
Happy New Year

Were you able to get off the front and the rear?

On my s2000 I used it for the front, but on the lower portion underneath by the breaks.
On my eclipse I tried what integrate suggested but messed up the threads, so I dont suggest hitting it. Didn't matter because I was replacing it with a new piece.
On my prelude in order to put the rear springs back in the joint had to be seperated just like the upper a- arm is setup.
The tool works and takes some patience to setup but I have used it 4 times with no problems.
The arm pullers that I looked at were huge and seemed like they would tear the boot apart.
Also the tool is about the size of my palm.
The hooks fit right under the boot. Cant remember it it touches or not but my boots never ripped. Not even close.
