what are the symptoms of failing/failed bearing besides the noise? Thanks for the info.

Well....start by doing an oil change, reach inside the oil pan drain hole with some type of plastic hook, try to pull debris out.

I was talking to some ppl, and they said maybe a bad throwout bearing or pressure plate...
