Default need educated answer

Greetings all. I need to know the definitive answer concerning the mugen ecu and what octane gas it requires. I have heard that it needs a high octane like 96 or higher or it won't perform properly. Can anyone with first hand experience enlighten me please?! Please no responses from those going on hearsay.

I'm not quite sure on what octane it requires, but I do know that 93 octane dosen't seem to be enough. I have a friend who had one, and when he had it the engine was constantly knocking and acting up. As soon as we took it out the car ran fine. I'm sure it requires 96 or more, (something that's not available) wish I knew, sorry I really couldn't help.

the answer is no less then 92 and you need to run the Mugen thermostat, thermoswitch and radiator cap. I run 93 or 94 and I have never had any knock or problems.
