Default Need to grease the ragtop mechanisms?

Is greasing the ragtop mechanisms necessary even if they operate fine without any squeeky noises? Or are they supposed to work without lube? I guess, I'm just wondering if I should include lubing the joints and bars that move the ragtop as a regular maintenance item or is it even necessary?

Where do you get it? I'm trying to find a product that the local auto stores would carry. Also, I was looking at the washers and parts, they are so tight, would you even be able to get any grease in between the joints other than having it on the outer edges which would be useless. While we are at it, is there anywhere else on the car that needs to be greased other than the hinges that on the doors? I can't think of any. Cars these days are pretty much lubed for life.

I got some for 3 bucks at local auto parts store. It came with a little straw to spray with. To be honest with you I don't even know if I got any in there. I did it while the top was up, then I lowered it halfway and did it again.

If you use a spray lithium grease hold a rag cupped behind or around the area you are spraying to help control overspray.
You should be able to find it at an auto parts store like tekstar said. I know Honda has a spray lithium grease at the dealer. I'm pretty sure there should be the equivalent at an auto parts store. I know Permatex has a tube, maybe they have spray also.
