my check engine light came on along with srs and abs...
strange my oil filler cap blew up in to peices and i dont know where they all went..i have a bad feeling nut iam gonna take off the valve cover and see whats up..
I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO RETRIEVE CODES WITH OUT A SCANNER...why would my oil cap blow up??
how can the pessure build up so much??

First things first.......
If you give a more specific thread topic there is a better chance you will get the answer you are looking for.

Secondly......
I'm no detective, but unless you have recovered mangled fragments of your oil cap I'm sure it didn't "blow up into pieces." Your MIA oil cap simply fell off as a result of being improperly tightened. The vibrations of the motor loosened it.....

It *MAY* be lodged between the motor and the firewall..... it *MAY* have fallen out of the vehicle, but its worth checking behind the motor.

And lastly.....
I have no idea why your SRS/ABS lights are on.

actually its in pieces i took the cover off and got most of it out..but its ok i guess it time to yank the motor out and start my project k swap..

 

I guess its about that time.....
