Default Need help on Carb Legal Headers for S2K.

I tried to do a search over the forum but I don't have any success finding the answer. I am planning to get aftermarket header for my car somewhere this month.

I just want to know is Amuse, Toda, Mugen, or Spoon headers Carb Exempt / Legal. I don't want to be unbolting the header and putting back the stock header ever two years just to pass emission/smog.

None of the above are legal. At least in CA. I believe the Comptech is but dont quote me on that. Also the Mugen ones come with a heatshield and when its all put in look almost identical to the OEM setup.

So far there are only two headers that have a CARB E.O. number: the Comptech and the DC Sports

The Comptech header is. None of the overseas offerings are, nor do I expect they'll ever be, CARB certified.

The header has pretty much no effect on emissions provided you have a working catalytic converter in the car. The issue is when the smog guys open the hood and don't see that sticker or plate

I have a toda on mine and it has header wrap on it, so they don't know it's aftermarket. so not only you get heat reduction, it becomes smog legal
