Need help diagnosing a problem on my AP1 ASAP
Okay so here's the problem. A few months ago I was driving home one night and I noticed that my gas gauge had been stuck on 2 bars for the past few days. Sure enough the car died (from what I thought was a lack of gas) and I had to keep the lights on because I was right over the crest of a hill and was partially in the road in the oncoming lane so i had to warn oncoming traffic. The battery ended up dying too. So my dad brought gas and we partially filled the tank and my dad jumped my car and all was good.
Today I was driving and I noticed that the S was lagging a little bit on the acceleration and I also noticed after that I had driven 197 miles since the last time I filled up (I had filled the tank and reset trip at that time) and I had 5 bars on my gas gauge. I was driving up a hill in fifth gear when the motor sputtered just a little bit and then died and I coasted into a dirt pull off area. I came back and filled it up with gas and tried to start it again but it wouldn't and the battery was working fine too. I reset the ecu to see if that would do anything, but it didn't help either. I'm thinking it might be the fuel pump but I'm not really sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
It is a 2002 Honda S2K with 77k miles and the only modifications are: cold air intake, exhaust, headers.
