need help:how to lower megan coilover properly?
good day guys. i am new s2k owner. i got it brand new. got it this morning at 10:00am. i am very happy. and i got the megan coilover Trak version, but this is the 1st time for me to own a coilover system. i usually just used springs on my other car i have owned in the past and i am not sure which part of the coilover (megan) do i need to adjust to lower the car the right way.
looking at the coilover installed on the car. just under the spring i see 2 knobs that kinda locks to each other and it holds the spring. and at the lower portion there is a single knob that looks similar to the 2 knobs below the spring.
my question is, which one do i adjust to lower the car, is it the 2 top knobs just below the spring or the single knob that is located by the mounting bracket of the shock?
sorry guys. i know i may sound dumb but i dont wanna mess things up. just wanna be sure. u know the car isnt even a day old yet. i just want it down since day 1. thanks for all the help that will soon come in the future.

Although not Megans, this probably will help:

I have to say I know what he's dealing with and that link isn't much help.
I installed my megans and getting the ride height even on all four was a pain. I ended up using a ruler to measure the length of the threads and making sure that the top spacers were equidistant from the top of the coilover. It was a pain having to take them out a couple time and put them back in to check but I eventually got it right.
I remember thinking that it was thread in one too many places. Seams like the ride height could have been adjusted a bit easier.

This "knob" you speak of - Is it a ring around the body of the coilover that can be spun up or down on the threads?
thanks

You have to use the top 2. Losen the top one and tighten the bottom one (on the threads. lowere the bottom one and raise the top one) with the spanner wrenches. Lower the bottom one a and then lower the top one to desired height and tighten them back together.
I used a caliper to measure the distance between the bottom nut (or knob) and the very top nut (again, knob). You can use a tape measure. The caliper is easier because you dont need to remember anything. Just set it and adjust to it. The front a rear will have different measurements. That's your best bet. Just make sure they are all level. I adjuested the rears and the measurements were level but the car wasn't. Turns out one of the fronts was higher and it threw everything off.
If you go pretty low you want to make sure the springs seat themselves in the top hat when you lower the car back to the ground.
Sorry so long winded. can't think of an easier way to say it all.
