Default Need help with coilovers!

hey guys I’m new to this forum and need help with my coilovers. I bought some Megan racing track edition coilovers. It has 12k spring all around with 32 way dampening. The shocks were blown and so I bought shocks for all 4 of the cars and after putting them on the car is still bouncy and it won’t go any lower. Is there any way to go lower or do I need to get a shorter spring with the shocks to go lower? And why r they so bouncy?

You bought new shocks for the...what?

I'm not following the story, bruv.

You bought the shock cartridges from Megan?
How are you adjusting the height?

Photos would help.

I bought the shock body’s from Megan racing. And I’m adjusting height by removing the coilovers and turning the shock body all the way

Well, have you lowered it so far you are now riding on the bumpstops?

Have you tried turning the damper adjustment knob to a softer setting?
We probably need pics here to figure out whats going on.

Why are you removing them?

Check that you have enough spring preload and that your damper settings make sense.

Are you saying it won't go lower because even when you adjust the shock shorter, once car is back on the ground ride height is still the same?

Are you actually adjusting preload, not shock length, and car is now resting squarely on the bump stops, so can't go any lower that way?

This would explain all your symptoms, too bouncy and won't go lower.

You would probably have been better off using the money spent on new Megan shock replacements to instead buy decent coilovers.

Bouncy could mean stiff. So just double check and make sure your shocks are set a couple clicks from soft. If they are turned all way to hard the car will feel really bouncy. As for the coils not going low enough, we would need some more information. Typically S2000 coilovers go really low by just spinning the coil.
