that actually looks more like a valve adjustment might be needed. 235 isnt that low
you think so? my valves don't sound very loud. my friend's ap1 valves are a lot louder than mine

Do I really need to know if leakage was so low?

well i mean you went through all this trouble you think youd have done a complete job but i guess you dont need to know.

if its coming out the exhaust ot TB its the valves if its coming out the oil cap its the rings. just tells you for certan if its valves or rings. but given the compression and leak down numbers i gues its not critical. its just something id have done to be sure

no, it's still rough...i can feel excess vibrations and the exhaust makes a popping sound...before changing the spark plugs, it ran even rougher. the engine used to shake quite a bit, now it's more calm but still rough

why fix something that isn't a problem

you are fine with leakdown and compression numbers.

instead of throwing money at the car with new parts (in reference to your question of whether or not you should just get new injectors), why don't you just take the car to a good s2000 mechanic?

there were a couple mechanics i wanted to bring the car to. both were swamped with work so they didn't want to see my car until at least saturday.

as for taking it to honda, i'm not going to let them touch my car unless it's completely neccessary. they overcharge for parts + labour, and they suck at troubleshooting since they probably never see these cars in their shops. the receipts from the last owner show that the dealers hosed the guy $1000+ to change plugs + coils. on top of that, they put in those horrible bosch +4 platinum/iridium plugs.

at the rate i'm going, i haven't exactly wasted any money on swapping parts yet. the only things i've spent money on are tools and spark plugs. the car needed the new plugs anyways and i bought the leak down tester to give myself some peace of mind that motor is still ok. i'll probably try some new injectors because lots of used ones are available for cheap. At $100 for a set of 4 used ones, it's still cheap because local dealers here charge $250 for each injector.
