Need help with mirror mounting

The inside rear view mirror came off MY04 after 6 weeks. Managed to get the dealer (100 miles away) to send me a new one under warranty. Now I can't figure out how to get it to go on the windshield mount. It seems like it should just slide on and snap into position, but it doesn't.

Does anyone know the solution? Thanks!

I have not looked closely at the S2000 mirror but most mirrors have a set screw that must be loosened so the mirror bracket can slip over the button. Then you do up the set screw.

xviper,

Thanks your comment was spot on. There is a large screw head on the windshield side that is not accessable when mirror is mounted. I was so focused on that one that I never looked on cockpit side. There is a small recessed screw that does exactly what you said. Thanks again
