Default Need help with my Hardtop install

I have run into a problem in the middle of my late night hardtop install. I have a run tomorrow morning at 9:00 and if I don't resolve the issue soon I won't be able to go.

Any ways, here is the story. For those of you that have done the installation yourselves or at least familiar with the setup should be able to help. I am at the point of the install where I have to connect the defroster switch and put the console cover back on. You are supposed to locate the "Rear Defroster Connector, Blue-Taped", which is supposed to be located by the parking brake. Unfortunately there is no wiring on that side, but on the other side there is a multitude of cables. User "The General" sent me a ton of pics and one of those pics shows that the "Connector" is in somewhere in that ball of wiring that is neatly taped up. Should I remove the silver cushion tape, then the black tape and then look for the "Connector". I have a feelin' this is what I have to do but I don't want to get in there unless I have to. I've included pics of what my car looks right now.

Please help. Thanks.

meloman, did you ever find the blue taped plug? Did you have to open the silver cushion tape and was the plug bundled inside the taped set of wires?

I'm getting ready to install my hardtop, thanks!!
