I am rebuilding an f20c engine and this small part fell out from somewhere? I am going to try to attach a pic- I think it was from the head or timing chain area. I was hoping someone knows this? I was also curious about my rebuild. I am getting the block sleeved and JE pistions and skunk 2 rods- which all is crazy expensive to get done- well over 3 grand for the block alone. Do you guys think that will be a good selling feature for someone looking for an s2k? Mine is a 2000 grey- with 85 k miles? Any input would be welcome. thanks guys!

thanks! I think that is not a dowel pin- they are thinner walled.

 

Plenty of engine part diagrams to search online if you need them. Lots of parts to weed through.

 

I was feeling good during the tear down until I saw that on the floor. Looks important ;( I also thought the block repair would be under a grand.

 

This is a serious suggestion, I'm not being a smart aleck. I would email an engine builder and ask them.

 

that is one of the dowel pins that go in the rollers.
