Exclamation Need Help! Timing alignment, car not firing up

Hello all. I dropped in a ap2 motor in my car. motor doesn't fire up. well it does but it stumbles, backfires a little and hesitates. sometimes it starts up after all that drama and other times it just cranks and eventually stumbles and dies. But If I disconnect one of the cam sensors the car fires up fine. Its currently throwing a cam sensor intermediate code b. Iv swaped over 5 s2k motors b4 and this is the first time iv had this issue. all my wiring is good and connected. I quadruple checked my timing as well and im pretty sure its spot on.i compression tested the motor as well and it had 245psi in each cylinder. its an 05 car and motor, titanium valve springs and everything else oem. What do you guys think ? bad ecu ? timing? wtf? HELP! Thanks in advance

Have you checked the grounding point on the back of the head against the firewall?
Sensors are intact and connector not damaged, checked the steps bellow from the manual?

It's page 386 in the 2000-2008 manual, or chapter 11-90.

I’m having trouble locating the 31p plug. Is it the blue one? I checked all plugs and none of them match up to the one in the Manual. I am using an 03 ap1 manual. Also if it was the blue one the wire colors are wrong.

Unhappy

update: So I did the doc trouble shooting and it came out to be a bad ecu. I know the eco on the car is fine bc if u pull the cam sensor the car runs fine. b4 the engine swap the car run Fine as well. I don't think its the ecu. I tried turning it over again today and it did the same thing. backfire bog and die. there was also smoke coming out of the intake vent tube but I think this is the burnt fuel fumes. Maybe the timing is really off. idk anymore. Can the real timing experts chime in? I checked my timing like 4 times now and I think it aligned. TDC at the first white crank mark, align the cams horizontal from each other. the middle cam gear positioning marks really don't matter. is there something im forgetting? I dot think its electrical either bc if u pull the cam sensor the car fires up fine but obviously in limp mode. Anyone? Billman?
