I need tires for the Spoon SW388 wheels, the size is 16x7 in the front with 35mm offset and 16x8 in the rear with 45mm offset.

As for tires go, I want wider, but don't want to rub. Car is at stock height and probably wont be lowered. What's the widest I can go? will this work?

225/50 for the front
245/45 for the rear

Is that too optimistic for proper clearance with fenders/liners? Or should I go with:

215/55 for the fron
245/50 for the rear

Just FYI, I'm running 245/45/16 Bridgeston Potenza S02 Pole Positions on my back stock rims - works fine.

I have 225/50 in front and 245/45 rear with stock rims but the fronts are wider than they need to be so Im going back to 205/55

I doubt you'll rub, but your critical front to rear "contact patch ratio" will be a bit off. Depending on how hard you drive on the street, you may or may not see any oversteer..

thnx guys for the feedback, went ahead and ordered 245/45 for the rear and 205/55 for the front. We'll see how this combo works in next weekend's auto-x.
