Default Need instruction for installing the Comptech reinforce differential

I did the search and cannot find what I'm looking for. I have the helms manual and can remove the differential on the car. I need help on swapping the stock differential with the comptech one. Thank you.

Unless your bought a preassembled differential with all the internals, you will need to have your original internals swapped into the new housing from Comptech. This is something for an experienced diff specialist.

Marcucci and I spent 2 days swapping the ring and pinion out of my diff. It is not a DIY job.

Gernby - thank you that helps.

I won't be changing the gears and I have all winter time to do any project on my S.

cdelena,

I agree completely with what you are saying about the thrust washers. I find it extremely hard to believe that so many people have "lucked out" by not having to buy the thrust washer set. I just ordered a full thrust washer set today for my future gear installs.
